Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Senior Governance & Standards Lead to advance data governance and enablement capabilities across data, product, and platform teams.

You will guide architecture standards and create reusable accelerators to improve data sourcing, ingestion, and consumption while ensuring regulatory compliance. The role sits at the intersection of product enablement and technical strategy, requiring strong collaboration with data engineers, architects, and business partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 7+ years in data governance strategy, planning, and policy.
• Deep banking industry knowledge and regulatory reporting understanding.
• Strong communication skills to engage technical teams and senior stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience with modern data platforms and governance tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and evolution of reusable data governance accelerators across data, product, and platform.
• Implement governance capabilities in Snowflake, Databricks, Collibra and Power Platform.
• Serve as a data governance advisor to product teams and enterprise partners.
• Translate governance capabilities into playbooks, adoption guides, and compliance guidance.
• Define success metrics and track productivity gains from governance initiatives.
