Job summary

Alignment Health is seeking an expert in data governance and platform architecture to define and implement enterprise governance capabilities across metadata, lineage, and MDM. You will partner with AI/analytics initiatives and cloud teams to ensure scalable, compliant data platforms.

The role requires 10+ years in data governance or related fields, healthcare experience preferred, and hands-on work with Purview, Alation, and MDM tools.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or data governance platform implementation.
• Experience implementing and operating enterprise-scale data governance or data management platforms.
• Experience integrating governance tooling into cloud-based data platforms and pipelines.
• Healthcare industry experience preferred; Medicare Advantage or payer experience is a significant differentiator.
• Experience implementing MDM, data catalog, or data quality platforms in a regulated healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Define the technology architecture for enterprise data governance capabilities including metadata management, MDM, data quality and lineage.
• Lead and execute governance platform implementation with engineering and IT teams, ensuring production-grade performance and data integrity.
• Embed governance controls into data pipelines and processing workflows with data engineering partners.
