Job summary

Vizient, Inc. seeks a senior data-governance leader to drive enterprise catalog governance, metadata, and lineage across the organization.

You will define standards, architecture, and adoption strategies ensuring trusted data and compliant access controls, including HIPAA alignment, partnering with privacy and security teams. You will mentor engineers and analysts, oversee cross-functional delivery, and translate governance requirements into practical technical designs while advancing platform

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data governance, data architecture, metadata management, data cataloging, or related tech functions.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise data catalogs, metadata, lineage, or governance platform capabilities.
• Strong ability to translate governance requirements into technical designs, standards, and delivery plans.

Responsibilities

• Own the enterprise catalog-governance architecture, standards, roadmap, backlog, prioritization, and outcomes.
• Define metadata semantics, catalog standards, lineage, data classifications, governed tags, and governance platform patterns.
• Design future-state platform solutions for metadata, lineage, classification, data quality monitoring, catalog reporting, and data-access governance.
• Translate business and security requirements into technical architecture, configuration standards, and implementation plans.
• Provide direction for integrity and standardization of technical data, including member and external data feeds and industry standards.
• Define data-access control approaches in partnership with the Chief Privacy Officer and ensure HIPAA alignment.
• Lead complex initiatives across Data Governance, Cloud Ops, Data Engineering, access governance, security, privacy, and domains.
• Define acceptance criteria and validation approaches; review semantic and technical validation for governance readiness.
• Own enterprise catalog-adoption strategy and drive platform adoption and outcomes across priority domains.
• Advise stakeholders on architecture, platform capabilities, risks, sequencing, and tradeoffs.
• Mentor engineers, analysts, and governance practitioners in catalog, metadata, lineage, and governance delivery.
• Represent governance in architecture, platform-planning, design, and enterprise data discussions.
