Job summary

The ideal candidate has nine or more years in data governance, a bachelor's degree, and a proven track record advising senior leaders on data policy and risk. Candidate must be a U.S.

Qualifications

• Nine or more years of experience in data governance, data management, or enterprise data strategy.
• Strong understanding of federal data laws, regulations, and mandates (open data, evidence-based policymaking).
• Experience developing and implementing data governance frameworks, standards, or policies.
• Experience advising senior leaders on data policy, risk, compliance, or modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate development and execution of enterprise data governance strategies while advising senior executives on data policy, risk, and modernization priorities.
• Develop and support frameworks for data quality, metadata management, data lineage, data classification, and enterprise data catalog capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with federal data mandates, including evidence-based policymaking and open data requirements, while supporting public data release strategies.
• Facilitate implementation of enterprise data governance policies, standards, and procedures, including data retention, archiving, and disposal.
• Ensure enterprise data assets are discoverable, accessible, and protected through appropriate access controls.
