Job summary

Chime is seeking a seasoned engineering leader to guide the Data team and build a scalable, self-serve data foundation. As Senior Engineering Manager, you will enable data democratization with strong governance and drive AI-centric data initiatives that support growth.

You will mentor engineers, partner with Product, Analytics, Data Science, and Marketing to deliver high-quality data products, and champion operational excellence across the data stack.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience leading Data Engineering teams.
• Proven experience building scalable, AI-ready data tools, semantic models, and trusted data products.
• Strong partnership with Product, Analytics, Data Science, and Marketing to deliver business outcomes.
• Experience driving engineering excellence, including data quality, governance, CI/CD, and operational reliability.
• Experience with Growth and Marketing Data tech, including attribution, funnels, and experimentation.
• Experience with Spark, Snowflake, Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Key-Value store, dbt.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI-driven, data-centric initiatives that accelerate business growth.
• Partner with Analytics, Product, Data Science and stakeholders to deliver trusted data products.
• Mentor and grow engineering teams with a culture of technical excellence and learning.
• Set direction, drive urgency, and ensure delivery of high-impact work.
• Collaborate across teams to prioritize work and remove delivery obstacles.
