Job summary

InventYOU AB is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to deliver a fit-for-purpose Workday reporting portfolio, grounded in well-documented business requirements.

The role blends report development with business analysis, coordinating with business stakeholders and the integration team to design, build, test and deploy reports, dashboards and analytics that are secure, reusable and compliant with governance standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Data Engineering or Reporting, with hands-on Workday reporting.
• Experience designing all main Workday report types: Simple, Advanced, Matrix, Composite, Trending and Transposed.
• Strong experience with calculated fields, custom report data sources, prompts and scheduling/bursting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate requirements workshops with business owners and SMEs.
• Translate business questions into structured reporting requirements.
• Design, build and deploy Workday reports and dashboards across tenants.
• Ensure reports are secure, governed, and compliant with reporting standards.
• Optimize report performance and support testing and release management.
• Transfer knowledge to report writers and provide hypercare support after go-live.
• Produce design documentation and a report catalogue.
• Collaborate with the integration team on reports that serve as data sources.
• Maintain a requirements inventory and traceability matrix.
• Provide ongoing support for Workday reporting governance.
