Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Enterprise Data and Analytics team. You will design and implement API integrations to connect Workday with customer platforms, enabling streamlined benefits, enrollment, and insurance workflows.

You will lead data modeling efforts, set blueprints for entities, dimensions, and facts, and work with Architects and principal engineers to deliver scalable data ingestion solutions across PST hours.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or senior level work experience in required field.
Senior level data engineering experience.
Experience with Databricks, specifically integrating with Workday with either Workday Reports Connector, Workday HCM Connector, Workday Data Cloud, Unity Catalog, or another connector.
Experience with prompt engineering in AI, ability to utilize AI and continue implementing new AI development tools.
Experience with ingestion tools such as Fivetran and Confluent for near real time and batch data ingestion.
Strong communication and self starter, must work well with driving initiatives forward with peer engineers and architects.
AI engineering background and understanding.
Workday API integration experience as a Data Engineer.

Responsibilities

Build external API integrations to connect with customers' Workday instances.
Partner with Architects and Principal Engineers to create base-level blueprints for entities, dimensions, and facts.
Scale Workday programs by moving to APIs and ensuring proper data ingestion.
Collaborate across Enterprise Data and Analytics and customer integration teams.
