Job summary

Kastle Systems is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and scale data infrastructure powering our access control platform. You will lead a small team, set technical standards, and ensure data quality across ERP, CRM, and support systems.

You will own large-scale data pipelines, model critical entities, and drive data governance compliant with SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR. This hybrid role balances in-office collaboration with remote work.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional data engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or people management role.
• Expert proficiency in Python and SQL with advanced data modeling and warehouse design.
• Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Deep experience with data pipeline orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, Dagster).
• Proficiency with streaming and event-driven architectures (Kafka, Kinesis).
• Strong understanding of REST API integration patterns and data connectors for enterprise SaaS.
• Hands-on experience managing data in ERP/CRM platforms (NetSuite, SAP, Dynamics 365, Oracle, Salesforce).
• Experience leading ERP/CRM data migrations or implementations and data mapping/validation.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for access events, device telemetry, and identity data.
• Architect and evolve the cloud data platform including lake, warehouse, and streaming components.
• Build real-time data pipelines to support dashboards and alerting.
• Develop data models for doors, readers, credentials, and audit logs.
• Own the integration data layer with PIAM, LDAP/AD, HR systems, and BMS.
• Manage master data for customers, sites, contracts, products, orders, invoices, etc.
• Lead data migrations and validation across ERP/CRM/ticketing systems.
• Establish MDM and data governance practices with ownership and change control.
