Job summary

Kastle Systems seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data infrastructure powering our access control platform. You will lead a small team, set standards, and bridge security hardware, cloud platform, and enterprise systems.

You will own data pipelines ingesting millions of events, develop master data for ERP/CRM, and ensure data quality, governance, and security in a SOC 2/GDPR context. Hybrid work balances in-office and remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of data engineering experience with leadership exposure
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for analytical and transactional workloads
• Experience with cloud data platforms and data pipelines for enterprise systems
• Strong data modeling, ERPs/CRMs integrations, and data governance knowledge
• Experience with SOC 2, GDPR, and security/compliance considerations

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines ingesting access events, device telemetry, and identity data
• Architect and evolve our cloud data platform (AWS/Azure/GCP) with lake, warehouse, and streaming components
• Build real-time data pipelines using Kafka, Kinesis, or equivalent for live dashboards and alerts
• Develop data models for doors, readers, credentials, cardholders, zones, schedules, and logs
• Own integration data layer connecting our platform with PIAM, LDAP/AD, HR systems, and BMS
• Manage ERP and CRM data models and master data across customers, sites, accounts, contracts, orders, invoices
• Write and tune advanced SQL for reporting, analytics, and reconciliation across systems
• Lead ERP/CRM uncover data migrations and implementations including mapping, cleansing, cutover
• Establish MDM and data stewardship standards across ERP/CRM systems
• Ensure data quality, lineage, observability, governance and security per SOC 2/GDPR
