Job summary

Sedgwick is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to design and maintain scalable data pipelines across batch and real-time systems. You will lead Snowflake development, optimize data models, and support a multi-cloud data architecture.

The role includes building semantic layers for AI-enabled search and providing governance through CI/CD templates. You will mentor one data engineer and potentially grow the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, data engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education, professional certifications, and relevant work experience will be considered.
• Five years+ of dedicated data engineering experience required.

Responsibilities

• Designs, builds, and maintains scalable data pipelines for batch, real-time streaming, and event-driven movement from on-premises and cloud sources.
• Core developer for Snowflake data platform; support performance, data modeling, and storage structures.
• Architects and builds transformation pipelines delivering high-quality data inputs to Snowflake and dbt AI features.
• Develops semantic layers and metadata models to enable Self-Service 2.0 natural-language interfaces.
• Establishes reference architectures, reusable templates, and CI/CD best practices for decentralized teams.
