Simarn Solutions is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize cloud data pipelines using Snowflake, dbt, SQL, and Python. The role blends hands-on engineering with production support and collaboration across analytics teams.

You will lead data architecture improvements, implement governance, and mentor teammates while working onsite in San Antonio. Strong SQL, Python, and Snowflake experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Snowflake architecture, data warehousing, and performance optimization.
• dbt model development and transformation workflows.
• Strong SQL development and query optimization skills.
• Python for data processing and automation.
• Experience supporting production ML pipelines.
• Docker and Universal Base Images usage.
• Understanding of cloud data security, governance, and data integrity.
• Strong troubleshooting and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to work onsite in San Antonio five days per week.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize Snowflake environments and troubleshoot performance.
• Build and maintain dbt transformations and data models for analytics and reporting.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries.
• Develop Python solutions for data ingestion, automation, validation, and visualization.
• Support production ML pipelines and containerized workloads.
• Participate in code reviews and promote maintainable engineering practices.
• Implement data quality, security, and governance controls.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
