Sedgwick in the United States is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and scale robust data pipelines that move data from on-premises to cloud environments, with Snowflake and dbt at the core. You will lead technical implementation and help shape a data-driven culture.

The role also involves mentoring a data engineer, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and advancing CI/CD and semantic layer strategies to enable AI-ready analytics for the business.

Formación

• Five (5)+ years of dedicated data engineering experience, with a proven record of building production-grade data pipelines, required.
• Advanced hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and data sharing required.
• Experience moving data across hybrid environments, including on-premises to cloud, using batch, streaming, and event-driven patterns required.
• Experience building or maintaining semantic layers and structuring data for downstream AI, large language model, or natural-language search capabilities preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Designs, builds, and maintains scalable data pipelines across on-premises and cloud sources.
• Acts as a core Snowflake data platform developer, shaping performance and data sharing.
• Architects transformation pipelines delivering high-quality inputs to Snowflake and dbt.
• Maintains semantic layers and metadata models for Self-Service 2.0 NLP interfaces.
• Establishes reference architectures, templates, and CI/CD practices for safe data products.
• Provides mentorship to one data engineer and guides analysts in engineering practices.
• Drives dbt adoption and evaluates Azure/AWS tools to optimize data flow.
