Velera is seeking an expert Data Engineer IV (Snowflake/Databricks) for a remote US role. You will design, develop, test, and support scalable data solutions in a fast-paced agile environment, leading complex projects and mentoring engineers.

Required ten years in data engineering with Python/PySpark on Databricks, Snowflake experience, and strong SQL/ETL/ELT skills. Remote-first culture with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
10+ years professional work experience in data engineering.
3+ years as a subject matter expert.
Experience with Python and PySpark in Databricks.
Experience with Snowflake and scalable environments.
Advanced SQL and data warehousing concepts.
Azure cloud familiarity.
Strong fundamentals in OOD, data structures, algorithms.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain data solutions following company standards.
Lead and collaborate on complex data projects in an agile environment.
Provide engineering leadership and mentorship across teams.
Review code for maintainability, standards, and security.
Design, build, and deploy data pipelines and solutions.
Ensure SDLC and security compliance across projects.
