Job summary

Providence Health & Services is seeking an Experienced Senior Data Engineer to advance the enterprise data platform strategy and governance. The role focuses on Snowflake maturity, data standards, and migrating legacy data into a governed, scalable data ecosystem for analytics, reporting, and AI initiatives.

The successful candidate will combine technical depth with data strategy to strengthen architectural foundations, engineering standards, and the operating model across Providence’s data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Information Services, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of related experience; software development preferred.
• Experience with object-oriented programming (C#, Java, Python) and Git.
• SQL integration development with SQL/NoSQL and data tooling.
• Familiarity with Agile methods and tools (Azure DevOps, TFS, Jira).

Responsibilities

• Define data standards, governance, and metadata practices.
• Drive Snowflake platform maturity and scalable data architectures.
• Lead migrations of legacy assets into an enterprise data ecosystem.
• Collaborate on data products to support analytics, reporting, AI.
