Job summary

Providence Health & Services is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to drive the enterprise data platform strategy, governance, and modernization initiatives. You will help mature Snowflake deployments, establish metadata standards, and migrate legacy data into a governed, scalable data ecosystem to support analytics and AI products.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Services, or related field; plus relevant experience.
5 years of related experience; software development preferred.
OO programming in C#, Java, Python or equivalent.
Experience with Git or similar source control.
SQL integration development with SQL/NoSQL.
Familiarity with Agile methods and tools (Azure DevOps, TFS, Jira).
Proven ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams.
Experience designing and implementing large projects, ideally in healthcare.
