Providence is seeking an Experienced Senior Data Engineer to advance the enterprise data platform, standards, governance, and modernization efforts. You will help migrate legacy data assets into a scalable, governed data ecosystem and support analytics, AI, and data product initiatives.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, data strategy, and engineering excellence in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of related experience; software development preferred.
• Strong OO programming in C#, Java, or Python.
• Experience with Git and source control systems.
• SQL/NoSQL data integration and development experience.
• Familiar with Agile methods and tools (Azure DevOps, TFS, Jira).
• Healthcare setting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define data standards, governance, and metadata practices.
• Drive Snowflake platform maturity and data integration.
• Lead migration of legacy data assets to a governed enterprise data ecosystem.
