Archipelago Companies is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to own data infrastructure end to end. You will build pipelines from Shopify, Google Ads, Google Analytics, ERPs, and internal data sources into Snowflake.

This senior role leads Snowflake architecture, data modeling for reporting across OluKai, Melin, Roark, and subsidiaries, and ensures data quality and governance with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of senior level data engineering experience.
• Deep Snowflake experience: warehouse architecture, cost optimization, RBAC, Snowpipe, Streams/Tasks.
• Proven experience building ETL/ELT pipelines from multiple sources.
• Strong SQL and Python for pipelines.
• Experience designing data warehouse models for reporting/analytics.
• Excellent cross-team communication.
• Ability to adopt AI-enabled tools while maintaining governance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines into Snowflake from Shopify, Google Ads/Analytics, ERP exports, and databases.
• Own and administer Snowflake environment including architecture and security.
• Stand up new Snowflake instances as data needs grow.
• Build data models supporting reporting across brands and subsidiaries.
• Establish data quality, testing, and monitoring; prevent data issues.
• Partner with marketing, ecommerce, wholesale, and finance on data needs.
• Own data governance and documentation; be the source of truth.
