Job summary

Granum is seeking an experienced data platform engineer to build and operate trusted internal data products for analytics, AI, and workflows. You will design scalable pipelines using Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, Terraform, and related tooling.

You will drive data quality, governance, and semantic consistency across models, implement governance controls, and collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to turn data needs into platform capabilities.

Qualifications

• Strong experience building and operating data platforms in Snowflake-centric environments.
• Experience with dbt or a comparable transformation framework.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tooling.
• Hands-on experience with a governed semantic or BI modeling layer (Omni, LookML, dbt Semantic Layer, or similar).
• Experience designing reliable workflows for ingestion, transformation, validation, and scheduled operational processes, including CI/CD in GitHub.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusted internal data products supporting analytics, AI, and operational workflows across Granum.
• Design and operate scalable data pipelines and platform workflows using Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, Terraform, and related tooling.
• Improve data quality, validation, observability, and recoverability across critical datasets and workflows.
• Own semantic consistency across upstream models, downstream consumption layers, and governed business definitions.
• Design and implement governance controls including permissions, masking, privacy-aware access patterns, and operational guardrails.
• Partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to turn ambiguous data needs into reliable internal platform capabilities.
• Drive platform improvements through automation, cleaner workflow design, and stronger operating patterns.
• Contribute technical direction for internal data platform work and raise the quality bar for data systems.
• Adopt and contribute to agentic workflows as part of standard engineering practice
