Job summary

Allstate seeks a hands-on data platform expert to design, build, and maintain the semantic layer underpinning marketing analytics. You will own end-to-end data modeling, query optimization, and integration across raw, cleansed, and reporting layers using Microsoft Fabric and a centralized semantic model.

You will write robust DAX patterns, tune performance, and collaborate with BI and data engineering teams to ensure accurate metrics for campaign spend, quotes, policies, and customer lifetime

Qualifications

• Strong SQL, including T-SQL, to write, review, and debug production analytical queries.
• Proficiency in Python to build and maintain data transformation notebooks.
• Experience owning a large centralized semantic model or semantic layer with responsibility for structure.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and backend queries for the semantic layer.
• Own the semantic layer architecture, including structure, relationships, storage mode, and refresh behavior.
• Author and tune the DAX measure layer used by downstream reports.
• Implement data frameworks ensuring consistency, accuracy, and readiness for use.
• Produce model documentation for analysts and stakeholders who rely on the data product.
• Collaborate with data engineering and BI teams on source changes and production deployment.
• Provide analysis to identify opportunities and drive data quality and trust.
• Mentor apprentice team members on model quality assurance and report migration.
