General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a senior data engineer to own and evolve data infrastructure for AI-enabled platforms in a highly secure government environment. You will design, build, and optimize data pipelines, manage vector-enabled PostgreSQL databases, and integrate documentation processing tools.

You will collaborate with AI/ML engineers, cybersecurity, and enterprise architects to deliver scalable, reliable data solutions, supporting migrations, data fabric

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years in data engineering, data integration, or related areas.
• Strong Python, SQL, and PostgreSQL experience; ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with Linux and containerized deployments; secure government environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data infrastructure for AI-powered applications.
• Manage PostgreSQL databases with vector extensions and data pipelines.
• Implement data ingestion, ETL/ELT, and data quality controls.
