Job summary

Eurofins USA Environment Testing is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data pipelines for chemical data and ML workflows. You will work with ML engineers and chemists to enable model training, deployment, and analysis.

The ideal candidate has strong Python and cloud experience, data modeling skills, and a solid understanding of analytical chemistry data formats. This role emphasizes data quality, governance, and scalable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Strong Python expertise including Pandas and NumPy
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and data workflows with Airflow/Prefect/Dagster
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases; data modeling in warehousing/data lake contexts
• Familiarity with MLOps tools and containerization (Docker)

Responsibilities

• Data Pipeline Development: design, build, and manage scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for chemistry data
• Data Modeling & Warehousing: develop data models and manage data lake/warehouse for fast ML feature engineering
• ML Infrastructure: containerize and deploy ML models; automate retraining and monitoring pipelines
• Data Quality & Governance: implement data quality checks and ensure reproducibility
• Tooling: create internal tools and APIs for data access by ML engineers and chemists
