Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to design, build, and support scalable data solutions across engineering, test lab, and product development operations.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to transform raw data into governance-driven, analytics-ready data products through modern data pipelines, cloud platforms, data modeling and quality practices, enabling faster and more reliable decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/EE or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 5+ years in data/analytics engineering roles.
• Strong SQL and at least one programming language (Python/C#/Java/Scala).
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehouses/lakes, and cloud platforms.
• Experience with Spark, Databricks, Airflow, dbt, Fabric.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines, data models, and data integration solutions for engineering/testing operations.
• Create ETL/ELT processes to ingest, transform, validate, and deliver data to analytics environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data needs into technical solutions.
• Establish data quality checks, validation rules, and monitoring processes for trusted data.
• Develop data warehouses, data lakes, and cloud-based platforms for performance and reliability.
• Create reusable data assets and documentation for self-service reporting and analytics.
• Mentor team members on data engineering standards and governance.
• Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot production issues.
• Translate business strategy into data solutions to improve efficiency and decision-making.
• Adhere to timelines in a fast-paced environment.
