Job summary

Formlabs is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Somerville, MA to build and operate pipelines that transform telemetry, manufacturing, and business data into trusted datasets. You will work in Python and SQL on Google Cloud (Cloud Run, BigQuery) across Real Time Integrations and batch modeling stacks.

You will own pipelines from ingestion to dashboards, focusing on scalable, cost-efficient design and strong data governance.

Qualifications

• Proficient Python for production data pipelines.
• Strong SQL with performance tuning and window functions.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, etc.).
• GCP experience including Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, IAM.
• Comfort with telemetry, IoT, or high-volume data.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and containerization.

Responsibilities

• Build pipelines that scale Python/SQL for trillions of rows.
• Work across RTI and BigQuery stacks, selecting the right tool for each problem.
• Deploy and operate services on Cloud Run with monitoring and alerting.
• Model well-documented data in BigQuery with clear lineage.
• Optimize partitions, clustering, and processing for cost/performance.
• Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to form durable datasets.
