Job summary

Formlabs is seeking a Data Engineer to build and operate data pipelines turning telemetry, manufacturing, and business data into trusted datasets. You'll work in Python/SQL on Google Cloud, contributing to RTI and BigQuery stacks, owning end-to-end pipelines from ingestion to dashboards.

The role emphasizes scalable pipelines, cost-aware data modeling, and collaboration with analysts and engineers to enable data-driven decisions across product and manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience building production data pipelines with strong Python
• Strong SQL foundation with ability to write, debug, and optimize complex queries
• Cloud data warehousing experience with BigQuery or comparable systems
• GCP experience including Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and IAM
• Experience with high-volume telemetry, event, IoT, or log data
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub, CI/CD, and containerized development

Responsibilities

• Build pipelines that scale: design, develop, and maintain ingestion and transformation pipelines in Python and SQL
• Work across RTI and BigQuery stacks, choosing the right tool for each problem
• Own deployment and operations on Cloud Run with monitoring and alerting
• Model data with well-documented, well-tested BigQuery datasets with clear lineage
• Engineer for cost and performance with partitioning, clustering, and optimization
• Collaborate with analysts, software engineers, and business stakeholders to turn questions into durable datasets
• Apply modern software practices: version control, code review, automated testing, CI/CD, IaC
