Job summary
Formlabs is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable data pipelines that convert telemetry and business data into trusted datasets. You will work in Python and SQL on Google Cloud, contributing to RTI and BigQuery stacks, and own pipelines from ingestion to modeling and dashboards.
The role emphasizes production ownership, performance tuning, and collaboration with analysts and engineers.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience building production data pipelines.
- Strong SQL foundation with ability to write, debug, and optimize complex queries.
- Experience with cloud data warehousing (BigQuery or equivalent).
- Experience with Google Cloud services (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, IAM).
- Familiarity with orchestration and observability tooling is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain ingestion and transformation pipelines at scale.
- Collaborate across RTI and BigQuery stacks to solve data problems end-to-end.
- Deploy and operate services on Cloud Run with monitoring and alerts.
- Model well-documented data in BigQuery with clear lineage.
- Focus on cost and performance optimization for large datasets.
- Partner with analysts and engineers to deliver durable datasets.
