Job summary

Formlabs is seeking a Data Engineer to build and run pipelines turning telemetry, manufacturing, and business data into trusted datasets. You will work in Python and SQL on Google Cloud, across RTI and BigQuery stacks, from ingestion to dashboards and services.

The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership, cost-performance tuning, and collaboration with analysts, software engineers, and stakeholders. Based in Somerville, MA with full-time commitment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building production data pipelines with Python.
• Strong SQL skills: writing, debugging, optimizing at scale.
• Experience with BigQuery or similar data warehouses.
• GCP experience including Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, and IAM.
• Familiarity with telemetry, IoT, or high-volume data.
• Proficient with Git and CI/CD practices.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ingestion and transformation pipelines.
• Contribute to Real Time Integrations (RTI) and BigQuery stacks.
• Deploy and operate services on Cloud Run with monitoring and alerting.
• Build well-documented data models in BigQuery with clear lineage.
• Apply partitioning, clustering, and optimization for cost and speed.
• Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to shape datasets.
