Job summary

Sammons Financial Group is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and implement scalable data and integration solutions. The role focuses on high-quality data flow, secure architectures, and enterprise-wide data products.

The candidate should be hands-on and strategic, with experience in Snowflake, SQL, dbt, Kafka, and cloud platforms (Azure preferred). The team collaborates with product owners, data architects, and solution architects to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years IT development experience or equivalent preferred.
• Strong skills in data modeling, SQL optimization, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with Snowflake, dbt, ADLS/ADF, and event-based integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines using Snowflake, dbt, ADLS, ADF, Kafka and modern ELT/ETL practices.
• Design, develop, and maintain APIs and event-based integrations for scalable solutions.
• Provision and manage cloud data infrastructure using IaC and automated deployments.
