Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to translate business requirements into robust data pipelines that power self-service analytics and operational apps. You will acquire datasets, build and maintain pipelines, and implement data validation and quality tooling to ensure reliable insights.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with data science, analytics, and application teams, and establish design standards for data connections, flows, and storage while balancing durable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in data architecture, data warehousing, and dimensional modeling.
• Experience developing and testing ETL/ELT jobs and pipelines.
• Experience writing analytical SQL queries and performance-tuning queries (preferably BigQuery).

Responsibilities

• Data validation, ETL, and infrastructure development to ensure data integration.
• Maintain data infrastructure through backup and optimization and ensure data integrity.
• Design and analyze data pipeline architectures to meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with team leads and cross-functional partners to analyze requirements and communicate opportunities.
