Job summary

DEPT® is seeking a well-rounded Data Engineer to translate business goals into concrete data solutions. You’ll work with Python/Ruby, Java/Scala/C++, and modern tooling, collaborating with devops and agile teams to make data work for the business.

In this role you’ll design data pipelines, contribute to data management strategies, and help clients realize measurable growth. A background in cloud environments (AWS/GCP) and SQL databases is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in core programming fundamentals, modern tools (IDEs, CLI, Git/version control), and basic debugging.
• 2+ years of experience in Data Management Tools: Airflow or Luigi and/or ETL tools like Informatica, SSIS or Datastage.
• 2+ years of DevOps tools like Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker.
• 2+ years of experience with databases such as BigQuery, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server, Redshift.
• 2+ years of discovery and assessment of a client’s portfolio, tools, and applications.
• 2+ years of professional software and consulting experience.
• Experience working in cloud environments (AWS or GCP) is a plus.
• Experience with Unix-based OSes is a plus.
