Job summary

Coderio is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data platforms handling large volumes of financial data. The role emphasizes Python, SQL, Spark, Delta Lake, and cloud architectures across SaaS-grade environments.

You will collaborate with Data Scientists, software engineers, and product managers to translate business needs into reliable data solutions, while enforcing data quality, governance, and DataOps practices in a remote-friendly setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related software roles.
• Strong Python and SQL skills for complex data processing and software development.
• Experience with Spark/PySpark, Delta Lake, and modern lakehouse architectures.
• Proficiency with AWS data services (S3, Glue, Athena, EventBridge, Firehose, Lambda).
• Familiarity with data orchestration (Airflow) and data warehousing (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
• Experience building real-time streaming systems (Kafka/Kinesis) and using dbt.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-throughput batch and streaming data pipelines.
• Design and optimize cloud data warehouse and lakehouse architectures.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and Product Managers to understand needs and deliver scalable data solutions.
• Implement data quality frameworks, automated testing, monitoring, and alerting for data integrity and SLAs.
• Drive DataOps adoption including CI/CD, IaC, and workflow automation.
• Champion data governance, privacy, and security across data platforms (GDPR/ LGPD).
• Mentor junior and mid-level Data Engineers to promote best practices.
