Job summary

Enlyte is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for the Casualty Analytics Group to design and build data infrastructure powering analytics and decision-making. You will define patterns and standards for scalable data pipelines into Snowflake, collaborating with a growing engineering team.

The role emphasizes mentoring, POC delivery, and partnering with stakeholders to prioritize high-value data integrations. Strong SQL, Python, Snowflake, dbt, and AWS experience are required for production data

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience building data infrastructure and pipelines in production cloud environments.
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL, including performance tuning and complex window functions.
• Strong working knowledge of Python for data pipeline development and automation.
• Deep technical experience with modern data stack technologies including Snowflake, dbt, data ingestion tools (e.g. Snowflake Openflow, Fivetran), orchestration tools (e.g. Dagster, Airflow), AI-assisted development (e.g. Snowflake CoCo, GitHub CoPilot).
• Extensive work with OLTP databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server), with strong understanding of OLTP vs OLAP.
• Experience with AWS cloud services for data workloads (S3, IAM, networking, Lambda).
• Experience defining and enforcing CI/CD practices for data pipelines.
• Experience with data modeling (Star Schema, One Big Table, Data Vault).
• Excellent communication skills with non-technical stakeholders and cross-team influence.
• Self-directed problem-solver who thrives in ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain production data pipelines using Snowflake and dbt to integrate data from multiple sources.
• Design and establish core data architecture and frameworks for scalable pipelines.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify high-value data integration opportunities.
• Establish and enforce engineering standards through documentation and reviews.
• Make strategic technology and governance recommendations for long-term scalability.
• Mentor and lead team members as the department grows.
• Lead POCs and MVPs to demonstrate value and secure buy-in.
