Job summary

Clear Street is seeking an experienced data/analytics engineer to own and improve our cloud-native data warehouse. You will design and maintain dbt models, ensure data quality, and collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Operations to capture the events that drive business decisions.

With 5+ years in data engineering, you will work across raw, staged, and curated layers, implement governance, and balance batch, CDC, and streaming approaches while integrating SQL, Python, and modern tooling in a

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in data or analytics engineering with production pipelines.
• Deep proficiency in SQL and Python with dbt in a layered warehouse.
• Experience bringing in third-party and application data via connectors and CDC.
• Experience with reverse ETL and governance including data quality.
• Familiarity with fintech/brokerage data and KYC/funding/trades is a plus.
• Self-starter with ability to operate without a large team.

Responsibilities

• Own data integrity in both directions and ensure accurate, timely feeds.
• Own the warehouse layers in dbt: raw, staged, and curated models with tests.
• Define data contracts with product engineering and platform owners.
• Own governance: RBAC, PII masking, retention, and audit trails.
• Balance batch, CDC, and streaming based on consumer needs.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Operations to capture required events.
