Job summary

Horizon3.ai is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and own the data platform supporting production pipelines, analytics, and reporting across regions. You will work with AWS Glue, Databricks, and BI tooling like Tableau, building scalable data models and observability into pipelines.

Qualifications

7+ years of professional data engineering or backend engineering experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Proven ability to own data infrastructure end-to-end.
Strong collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain data pipelines feeding warehouse and Tableau.
Operate core data infrastructure: warehouse, orchestration, and BI/reporting platform, deployed across multiple regions.
Evaluate warehouse strategy including lakehouse platforms such as Databricks.
Define and evolve batch or event-driven contracts between producer and consumer teams, reasoning through batch vs. streaming, CDC, reprocessing, and multi-tenant/multi-region trade-offs.
Design and evolve warehouse schemas and data models.
Build observability into pipelines and platform components.
Drive work across producer and consumer teams, communicate clearly, and own outcomes end to end.
