Job summary

Carrot is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to lead data infrastructure across analytics, reporting, and BI. You will architect, build, and maintain automated data pipelines, orchestrate workflows, and integrate diverse sources with a focus on security and compliance.

You will collaborate with BI, Product, Finance, Legal, and Commercial teams to enable trusted insights, improve data quality and observability, and mentor teammates while advancing cost efficiency and automation.

Qualifications

• Expert-level proficiency in Snowflake, dbt, and Python for data modeling, transformation, pipeline development, and advanced analytics.
• Advanced SQL skills for complex querying, large-scale data model design, and database optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Prefect and Airflow for ETL/ELT orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, test, deploy, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Administer cloud data warehouses and data lakes (Snowflake, AWS, Google Cloud).
• Design secure external data flows via SFTP, Files.com, and APIs.
• Mentor teammates and reinforce best practices in version control and structured workflow management.
• Partner with backend engineers to optimize production schemas for analytics use cases.
