Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for a remote contract role focusing on data quality, monitoring, and large-scale data processing. You will collaborate with architects, program staff, and stakeholders to design robust data pipelines and governance practices.

The ideal candidate will have strong SQL skills, experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Redshift), and hands-on work with AI-assisted development tools to automate data pipelines and testing workflows.

Responsibilities

• Data Quality Engineering & Monitoring (45%) - Design and implement automated data quality checks for completeness, accuracy, consistency, freshness, and schema integrity across datasets and pipelines.
• Investigation, Analysis, & Remediation (35%) - Analyze large datasets with SQL/Python to identify root causes, verify business logic, and support incident response.
• Governance, Documentation, & Team Success (20%) - Document data definitions, lineage, and governance standards to improve transparency and collaboration.
• Lead with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality is built into delivery and monitoring is ongoing.
