Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, data engineering, IS, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering, software engineering, or distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Java or Python, SQL, OOP, data structures, algorithms, and automated testing.
• Experience building production data pipelines with Flink, Spark, Kafka, Azure Event Hubs, or comparable tech.
• Cloud-native development on Azure and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop production‑grade batch and real‑time data pipelines for connected-vehicle telemetry and health signals.
• Build streaming applications that ingest, enrich, validate, and publish event‑driven data for downstream services.
• Develop reliable data products using Java, Python, SQL, and Spark/Flink.
• Work with Azure services including AKS, Databricks, Event Hubs, Key Vault, Monitor, and Insights.
• Design APIs and event models using GraphQL, REST, gRPC, and cloud‑event patterns.
• Apply AI/ML to data engineering problems like anomaly detection and data‑quality triage.
• Create automated tests, performance benchmarks, and validation checks for high‑volume data.
• Establish observability with OpenTelemetry, Datadog, Grafana, and Prometheus.
