Job summary

DRW is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Cumberland/Options Data in New York City. You will build and scale data pipelines, own data products end-to-end, and develop fast APIs for historical and live data.

You will collaborate with traders and researchers, working in Python/Java/C++, on Linux, and with streaming platforms like Kafka. The role offers competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience with at least one of Python, Java, or C++ in production systems.
• Experience collaborating with end customers and delivering production data solutions.
• Ability to dive deep into complex problems and simplify them for stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills and collaboration across teams.
• Experience in the financial markets, especially delta one, store of value, or FICC options.
• Experience with Linux-based, high-throughput, low-latency software systems.
• Experience with pipeline orchestration frameworks (Airflow, Dagster).
• Experience with streaming platforms (Kafka), data lake platforms (Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg), and relational databases.
• Bachelor's or higher degree in relevant fields or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions supporting trading activities.
• Take full ownership of data products from concept through production.
• Design, build, and maintain batch processing and real-time streaming systems for time-series data.
• Develop APIs and data access methods for fast historical and live data retrieval.
• Provide on-call support as needed.
