Job summary

Unity is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and implement distributed data systems powering real-time analytics and reporting at scale. You will own high-throughput pipelines, streaming processing, and cloud-native infrastructure across ad attribution and data services.

You'll work on modernizing architecture with gRPC, improve low-latency services, and ensure data quality across the pipeline while collaborating with ML, Reporting, and partner teams.

Qualifications

• Experience designing distributed systems at scale.
• Hands-on with real-time data processing pipelines.
• Strong background in streaming concepts and backpressure handling.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end attribution pipeline for accurate signal delivery.
• Design, build, and operate real-time ad event processing at scale.
• Lead modernization of legacy event handling to a grpc-based service.
• Improve low-latency data services and caching/persistence layers.
• Build and maintain ad serving infrastructure including logging, tracing, and security.
• Monitor data health in real time and maintain batch pipelines to BigQuery.
• Collaborate with ML, Reporting, and external partners.
