Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Python + Java Developer in New York to design, build, and deploy scalable applications using Python and Java, with a focus on RESTful APIs, microservices, and data integration.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders and DevOps teams, participate in Agile ceremonies, and uphold coding standards, security, and performance. A BS in CS or related field and 5+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy applications using Python and Java technologies.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Develop backend services, business logic, and integration components.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and product teams to gather and analyze requirements.
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following coding standards and best practices.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to security and performance standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in development, testing, and production environments.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, database objects, and data integration processes.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos.
• Create technical documentation, design specifications, and operational procedures.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation initiatives.
