Capgemini in New York, NY is seeking a Senior Python Developer (Migration Lead) to spearhead the end-to-end migration of our risk analytics platform from SAS to Python. You will design a robust architecture, ensure performance, and drive automation and compliance across the migration.

You will collaborate with risk analysts, data engineers, and model validation specialists to deliver a scalable Python environment and mentor team members on Python best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or related field (Master's a plus).
• 7+ years of software development experience with emphasis on Python for data analysis, modeling, or ETL.
• Expert-level Python programming with pandas/NumPy; experience migrating SAS code.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of the Python-based risk analytics architecture and establish coding standards and CI/CD pipelines.
• Migrate SAS code and macros to Python, preserving model logic and outputs.
• Optimize performance and scalability for large datasets and computations.
• Implement automated testing to ensure Python outputs match SAS outputs and support compliance.
• Collaborate with risk analytics stakeholders and mentor team members on Python best practices.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for governance and audits.
