Job summary

PENN Interactive is a leading online gaming and sports media tech company in North America. We’re seeking a Senior Data Engineer to partner with the Data Services team, delivering transformed data to meet stakeholder needs and enabling analytics across sports, betting and casino contexts.

You will design data pipelines, develop dbt models, and manage Airflow orchestration while mentoring peers and aligning with business goals. Equal opportunity employer; competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Business, or related field.
• Minimum of 4+ years of analytics engineering/data engineering experience.
• Hands-on with BigQuery, dbt, Airflow, Python and relational databases.
• Proven track record building and optimizing data transformation pipelines.
• Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with business stakeholders to identify data-driven projects.
• Liaise with data engineers to build data pipelines and resolve issues.
• Develop dbt models using SQL and Python as needed.
• Manage Airflow tasks and scheduling for data workflows.
• Assist team in solving data issues related to analysis and modeling.
• Complete analyses and present clear recommendations to stakeholders.
• Oversee analytics to ensure accurate data and insights.
• Support adoption of a data exploration tool across the organization.
• Provide mentorship and support for data engineer hires.
