Job summary

Encore Finance Group in New York City / Hollywood, FL is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own the data platform, build scalable data ingestion, and deliver maintainable tooling. You will work directly with the COO, partner with business teams, and implement reporting infrastructure and automation.

You will design data models, integrate diverse sources, and enable dashboards and analytics while guiding AI decisions and maintaining secure access.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years in data engineering with ownership of production pipelines.
• Strong SQL and Python with data transformations and quality checks.
• Experience designing and operating a cloud data warehouse.
• Ability to deliver projects from requirements through deployment and support.
• Experience integrating APIs, databases, spreadsheets, and file-based sources.
• Familiarity with SharePoint integrations or comparable enterprise environments.
• Experience with workflow orchestration, version control, testing, and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Own the data platform architecture, roadmap, and scalable infrastructure.
• Build and maintain pipelines across Zoho CRM, Azure, SharePoint, M365, and loan systems.
• Create consistent data models with clear relationships and historical records.
• Build ingestion and extraction tools with AI-assisted extraction and validation.
• Automate operational processes to replace repetitive tasks.
• Establish data quality and improve data hygiene at source.
• Implement monitoring, failure alerts, recovery, testing, and deployments.
• Maintain technical documentation and security access controls.
• Enable dashboards and analytics and collaborate on definitions and APIs.
