Job summary

Northwestern Mutual in Milwaukee, WI is seeking an Assistant Director, Data Software Engineering – AI/ML Ops to lead the design of data services, pipelines, automation, and dashboards for our ML Ops platform, enabling production deployment and governance.

You will collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, data engineers, and product owners to build scalable data systems, apply predictive analytics, and advance generative AI initiatives, while guiding best practices in CI/CD, cloud

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with data processing frameworks and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of machine learning concepts.
• Expertise in CI/CD processes and version control.
• Expertise in source code management using Git and GitFlow.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and data visualization tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI) and artifact repositories (Nexus, Artifactory).
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies in an agile development environment.

Responsibilities
