Job summary

Rackner is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead hands-on implementation within Microsoft Fabric for a major federal data modernization effort. This role offers the opportunity to influence the technical practices while being involved in building the data platform.

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on work with enterprise data pipelines and modern ETL/ELT patterns.
• Strong Microsoft Fabric capabilities required.
• Advanced SQL skills with working proficiency in Python, Spark, or PySpark preferred.
• Familiarity with Azure Data Factory or similar technologies is necessary.
• Practical knowledge of medallion or modern Lakehouse architecture is a plus.
• Must have active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and optimization of enterprise data pipelines.
• Build scalable ETL/ELT solutions across structured and semi-structured data.
• Implement medallion architecture including Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers.
• Establish automated validation and monitoring processes.
• Mentor data engineers to improve engineering standards.
