Job summary

America Makes is hiring a Data Engineer to lead the integration, structuring, and hosting of project data in the CORE repository. You will shape data management strategy, improve data quality, and enable reuse across over 200 active projects in adaptive and additive manufacturing.

You will collaborate with diverse teams, document technical details, and present findings while advancing the nation’s AM data capabilities and interoperability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience building and managing manufacturing data pipelines.
• Experience designing data architectures and ensuring data quality and provenance.
• Strong communication and collaboration across technical and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Understand and improve data management principles for America Makes.
• Facilitate integration, structuring, and storage of project data in CORE.
• Address data management gaps and promote data reuse and quality.
• Stay abreast of data pedigree concepts and data models for advanced manufacturing.
• Ensure CORE data assets are accurate, searchable, and usable.
