Job summary

America Makes seeks a data engineer to lead the integration, structuring, and hosting of project data within the CORE repository. You will ensure data quality, provenance, and reuse across over 200 active projects in adaptive and additive manufacturing.

You will collaborate with a diverse team, define data strategies, and drive continuous improvement while communicating results and contributing to manuscripts, reports, and presentations.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of relevant experience in developing and managing manufacturing data pipelines, data management practices, and database architectures.
• Strong time management and ability to lead discussions and plan effectively.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and communicate changes within a team.

Responsibilities

• Understand, develop, and continuously improve data management principles for America Makes.
• Facilitate integration, structuring, and storage of project data within the CORE repository.
• Address data management gaps and drive continuous process improvement for data persistence.
• Demonstrate knowledge of data pedigree, structures, provenance, and data models for advanced manufacturing.
• Manage quality and reuse of America Makes data assets.
