Job summary

Xenon7 in Indianapolis is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own architectural vision and hands-on data platform development for a top-tier life sciences client. You will design scalable pipelines and collaborate with process engineers and domain experts to accelerate drug discovery and manufacturing analytics.

This role requires 10+ years in software/data engineering, strong Python/PySpark/SQL skills, and deep experience with Databricks, Snowflake, and cloud data ecosystems.

Qualifications

• Senior-level proficiency (10-20+ years) in software development, data platform architecture, and complex ETL/ELT engineering.
• Experience designing data pipelines across scientific/clinical or chemical/process domains.
• Must hold unrestricted US work authorization and be able to work 3 days onsite per week in the Indianapolis area.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain production-grade data pipelines and architecture tailored for scientific and clinical data.
• Structure multi-modal datasets to enable analytics, reporting, and ML models.
• Ingest, harmonize, and model OT and manufacturing data, including API pipelines, batch data, MES, SCADA, and OSIsoft PI systems.
