Isar Aerospace SE seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design and implement scalable data pipelines and an enterprise data lake architecture. You will integrate SAP ERP, Siemens Teamcenter, and other platforms while enabling analytics, AI, and automated workflows.

Join a hands-on team that defines data architecture, standards, and reliable data services across engineering, manufacturing, and operations. Strong Python/SQL skills and experience with data platforms are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or enterprise data integration.
• Strong Python and SQL production data pipelines development.
• Experience with heterogeneous data sources and enterprise applications.
• Relational DB knowledge: PostgreSQL / MySQL / SQL Server.
• ETL/ELT pipelines, data transformation, validation and orchestration.
• Modern data platforms: data lakes, warehouses or lakehouses.
• Data modeling, quality and metadata management.
• Workflow orchestration, monitoring and automated processing.
• REST APIs, JSON, XML and enterprise data exchange patterns.
• Git, CI/CD and automated testing in modern software practices.
• Ability to design and operate reliable data solutions; strong English communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines connecting applications and systems.
• Help establish centralized data lake/lakehouse foundations.
• Build ingestion, transformation and processing workflows for batch and event use cases.
• Design storage and processing layers for structured to unstructured data.
• Define data models and transformation patterns for consistency.
• Implement monitoring, logging and automated recovery for pipelines.
• Evaluate data technologies and architectural patterns.
