Maverik, Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Salt Lake City with 7+ years of experience to shape data movement and modeling across the enterprise.

You will own data pipelines, warehousing, and integrations, partnering with analysts and developers in a hybrid setup with four in-office days and one remote day per week. You will build scalable data infrastructures, optimize the data warehouse, and ensure secure, compliant data operations to support reporting and decision-making across

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Expert level in SQL (MS SQL/T-SQL, MySQL).
• Ability to anticipate customer needs and prioritize service.
• Adaptability to changing tasks, responsibilities, and people.
• Root-cause analysis to simplify complex processes and improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable data infrastructures that integrate new technologies.
• Collaborate with analysts, BI teams, developers, and PMO on data integration requirements.
• Write SQL stored procedures for large-scale databases.
• Develop API processes to pull third-party data using Python.
• Optimize the data warehouse for efficient reporting across enterprise data.
• Address query and job performance bottlenecks; ensure security measures and regulatory compliance.
• Troubleshoot production issues during and after business hours to meet SLAs.
