Job summary

Zipliens is a leading lien-resolution company helping personal injury law firms streamline the lien process. We seek a proactive Data Engineer to shape our growing data ecosystem and support decision-making across the company.

You will design and maintain data pipelines, optimize storage, and contribute to information architecture to balance security, integrity, and reporting performance. Close collaboration with analysts, product owners and engineers is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Analytics or equivalent
• 4+ years as a Data Engineer or similar role
• Strong SQL proficiency across relational and cloud data storage solutions
• Experience with ETL tools and techniques
• Proficiency in Python or similar language
• Experience with data quality tools (e.g., Great Expectations, dbt tests)
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and cloud data services
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and reporting/BI tools
• Comfort communicating with stakeholders and cross-team collaboration
• On-site presence required at least three days per week in Franklin, TN

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize SQL queries and database schemas for efficient data retrieval and storage
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL processes
• Create and maintain scripts for data processing
• Ensure scalability and performance of data pipelines and queries
• Implement data quality checks and monitoring
• Contribute to data quality standards and best practices
• Collaborate with analysts to deliver reporting and analytics solutions
• Maintain knowledge of Zipliens applications and systems
• Design and build reports to provide actionable insights
• Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Document data models, ETL processes, and reporting solutions
